"Trees are an ancient reminder of the promise and vibrancy of Life.   My Tree motif goes back to my birth. Since I was born, on birthdays and special occasions trees have been planted in my name. I’ve integrated this tradition into my work as a holistic psychotherapist and organizer of creative community events by exploring the timeless messages the Tree offers and physically planting a community tree each year. These celebratory events have broadened over the years to include a visual component. Branching out into this visual arena has given me a great deal of creative freedom to play. Through this exploration plus some background in art therapy the seeds of my mixed media relief work have emerged. To Life!

The bulk of my materials have been gleamed from what might have been Throwaway materials or what I refer to as interrupted or discarded dreams! 

All of life has value thus I do not believe in a throw~ away society. When you add your creative imaginative essence, you invite life into things that might have been destined for the trash heap."

The art photos are some prints of my mix-media relief style. I enjoy working with materials that are often referred to as throw-away or recyclable materials. These usually include old cardboard boxes, old yard signs, pencil shavings, nut shells, dried grasses, old bees wax, coffee grounds. stuffing materials etc.
